Mini Olympics

When the Olympics started, I felt excited like a Jellybean about to explode. I liked to play Javelin throwing and I threw the rocket javelin far out like it was a time bomb. My favourite part was when I was playing basketball because I stole the ball like it was a bag full of money and I jumped as high as a Kangaroo. We got the ball in the net and we beat the other team!  What an awesome day it was.  
I wish it could happen again.

Pirates Week

 Pirate Story

My ship is called the Bounty Rose. She sails through rough and calm seas. We are sailing to steal as much sparkly gold as we possibly can. She sails with a big white flag. We look at the oncoming storm.
I yelled “Come on Mateys ! Row faster ! ”.........

We saw a funny show called the Pirate show. Flint and Flash told the silly story. It all started when Noodles the little sister, wanted to go looking for gold and treasure. She found a rabbit trying to dress up as a pirate he loves. Kai thought he was a dirty rabbit, but he was as sneaky as a mouse and he said “I am a parrot not a rabbit. I just love cabbage!” Kai sighed alright “I’ll just make dinner. Yuck! Its just raw cabbage!” said Noodles.

I am Charming when…… 

I see someone hurt. I say to that person “Are you alright?” When my friends are crying I go and help them. When I hurt someone’s feelings, I say “Sorry my friend.” If I draw something on someone’s desk, I say “it was the other person”, but then I will tell the truth. If I ask someone if I can play ball tag and if they say no, I’ll just walk away and go and play with someone else cool. If I get angry, I just take a big breath.  When my Dad gets me something, I say thank you.

I am Charming when……

When my Dad’s neck hurts, I get his neck brace for him and he is thankful. When my Mum is sleeping, I walk slowly and quietly past because I don’t want to disturb her. I show a positive attitude because if someone is hurt, I say “Are you okay?” I have resilience when someone hurts my feelings and   I bounce back and tell the teacher.

Opening and Blessing of New Classrooms.

On Monday 21 May our Class will be moving from Room 13 to Room 11 in the new Building.

We are all looking forward to the move.

It’s cool to be in Room 13

It’s fun being in Room 13 because I love singing songs and doing school work which is most important to me.  School trips are amazing and I like golden time.  I like our Teacher because she is charming and the class are charming too.  We do a lot of art and painting.  It’s lovely to be in Room 13.

Autumn Poems

The leaves whistle with excitement as they play with the wind.  Whoosh! The gold and crimson leaves are beautiful.  Crimson, gold, bronze and orange are the most beautiful colours of the leaves.  The weather is cooler in Autumn. The days are still warm but the nights are a little cooler.  I love picking vegetables, apples and oranges.  I eat them at home and school.  The weather is as cold as an iceberg, Crackle!  When I run on the soft leaves and they crunch under my feet.  The wind says to the leaves, “Come with your vivid vibrant clothes”.

The leaves are as colourful as a vivid colourful rainbow and the leaves go Crunch! Crunch! crunch, when we step on them, and the colours of the leaves are gold and crimson bronze.  The frosty rushing wind is as cold as the white ice.

Dear Parents/Caregivers of Room 13 children,

Welcome to our blog site. I thought this media would be ideal to share our classroom stories, poems, news and photos with you. It will give you the opportunity to discuss with your child what they are learning about and it will be a great motivator for the children to produce quality work. I would like to include photos of the children working and the captions will explain what they are about and not include the names of any children. The school sent home a form that you signed to give permission for photos to be used on our school website but if you do not want a photo of your child in the classroom blog please let me know.
